Been busy the past few weeks working on illustrations for the Broadway musical that is being directed by Julie Taymor, with music by Bono and the Edge.

Now that I've finished all 56 cards for the Star Wars 30th Anniversary set for TOPPS:

Here's a quick look on how I determine which markers to use for certain subjects.
First, a rough sketch of the subject, without overly focusing on actual representation.
I label each marker swatch so that it is much easier to make decisions down the road.
I eventually pick some of the colors but not all. The color guide will also let you know which
colors do not look good beside another color, even if they look appropriate when isolated.
Colors tend to influence how other colors are perceived by the eye.

Heroes has a great reputation as a fan friendly convention and it is run by Shelton Drum
who had me as a guest way back in 1984 when we were both just starting out in
the comics industry. Man time flies!!!!
