HOMEWARD

The color version is a work in progress, there's still several segments in the "Flats"
where it is just the local color. I'll mess around with it some more, perhaps tweak
the colors a bit.

Been posting sporadically due to several projects that have crossed over themselves,
but what's cool is that all the projects are really fun gigs.

I just finished an art card that will be included for the DEFENDERS OF THE EARTH compilation DVD.
On October 10, 2006, BCI will release Volume One on DVD.
I'm in great company alongside fellow artist MICHAEL ALLRED of MADMAN fame.

First time I had a chance to officially draw Flash Gordon and The Phantom!!!
When I was nine years old, I drew these characters with crayon and markers alongside Tarzan and the Shadow..whodathot?
I'm a huge fan of all things Alex Raymond and of course Sy Barry.

Floating city... but one that looks less delicate. Like some weird insects caught in glass orbs. Have a bunch of these that I'll add.

I added more texture, and obscured the details a bit to give this image a harsher, more painterly feel.

Although I liked the idea of a storm brewing in the distance.
The purplish background from earlier versions felt too passive for me.

However, now a battle wages up in the heavens as well!
