This is a good idea only if the creature below actually had a similar anatomical structure to a human.

Well, someone has to think this stuff through.

Tried to stay with the look of a tortured creature, frail and broken.
Bound and vulnerable, Conan contemplates delivering the killshot.



If I finished this, I would probably alter the head a bit, make it more disfigured.
Have it more alien looking but it would still be interpreted by someone in Conan's time as an elephant head.
Right now, the head is just a bunch of very loose cartoony lines drawn for placement.

Here's a recent illustration for a martial arts school. Since the edged weapon system I teach travels and mixes in with any other martial arts style, I have been very fortunate to meet some of the best in the world. On some occassions I have designed logos or art for their schools.



This was done in ILLUSTRATOR using the bezier curve pen tool. When I initially began to use ILLUSTRATOR many years ago, the bezier curves were a mystery to me. It felt like I was "drawing" via the use of a virtual rope where I tugged and pulled on these knots that would cause the line to bend and twist the way I wanted them to. After much practice it's gotten to be quite simple, although it took me about ten illustrations before it became part of muscle memory.

So this little film came out in 1977 that I really enjoyed as a kid.
This was a drawing that I did right before the summer of my freshman year in high school.



Thank god, I didn't continue being a geek.
